Treadmills simulate natural movement - walking and running. Let’s take a look how to choose the right treadmill, to make sure your running exercises are both enjoyable and as comfortable as possible.


Belt type


  • Performance is measured in HP (horsepower), anything between 1.5 to 4 HP is generally sufficient.
  • The higher the weight of the user, the more power is needed to reach the maximum treadmill speed.


  • For less demanding users – you move the belt with your own feet. The incline and speed can be adjusted by controlling the magnetic resistance, which is the reason why this type is sometimes called a magnetic treadmill.

Running deck


  • Belts up to 40 cm in width are suitable for walking and jogging.
  • If you prefer to run faster, choose a wider belt for better workout safety.


  • Incline adjustment simulates running uphill; typical incline range is 10-20%.


  • Cushioned running beds are suitable for frequent jogging, as they simulate running on soft surfaces such as grass. The cushioning protects your joints.

Frame structure and weight limit

  • For tall and heavier users, we recommend choosing a sturdy treadmill frame with a maximum weight capacity 20% higher than is the weight of the user.


  • Heart rate monitor - usually integrated into the handles; some models are also compatible with chest straps from selected brands.
  • Safety – shuts down the machine in the event of an accident.
  • Display - displays speed, time, calories burned, incline, heart rate, etc.
  • Some models take user comfort even further and feature integrated speakers, fans, and other equipment.
