Sony's range of professional cameras has expanded with this new PXW-FS7K model with a compact and ergonomic design for more comfortable shooting. This large-format digital movie camera is equipped the Exmor CMOS Super 35 sensor and records video in ultra-high 4K resolution (3840 × 2160). Thanks to its 14 stops of latitude and ISO 2000 sensitivity you can shoot stunning videos even in locations with poor lighting conditions. Video recordings can be stored on fast XQD cards.
Size does matter, and this old adage rings true even for the Sony camera sensors. The PXW-FS7’s Super 35 sensor can create a beautiful bokeh effect that enhances the object you are shooting. It also provides high resolution, high sensitivity, and wide dynamic colour range, which means you can shoot in poor lighting conditions with minimal noise. The special sensor also enables a spectacularly wide-angle view compared to other sensors.
This professional Sony camera lets you shoot documentaries, films, TV commercials, and much more. Video is recorded in XAVC and XAVC Long codecs, delivering a maximum of 180 fps continuous shooting in Full HD and 60 fps in UHD (3840 × 2160). Video can be recorded simultaneously and continuously on two XQD cards, for which the camera has two card slots.
Its compact size and light weight mean you can use it as a hand-held camera, allowing you to shoot in tight spaces and from various angles. The viewfinder lets you quickly and smoothly adapt to different conditions of shooting. And if the viewfinder is not enough, you can use the 3.5" display.
The camera is equipped with the bayonet Alpha Mount System, so you can easily attach various lenses from Sony and other manufacturers. E-mount supports virtually all types of lenses, including Sony’s standard E-mount and A-mount models. The camera features 3G-SDI and HDMI interface and two SD card slots. There are also Wi-Fi and LAN network terminals for wireless data transfer or streaming.
