Wonderful, absolutely sharp images are the domain of the unit. Shoot realistic images with natural detail, richer color range and lower noise levels.
Sony Alpha 7II captures stunning images with razor-sharp clarity greater than ever before, even in the toughest shooting conditions. The breath-taking image quality is ensured by the remarkable 5-axis SteadyShot INSIDE image stabilization system. It dramatically expands your range of expression by compensating for five types of camera shake during handheld shooting sessions. The highly effective 4.5-step compensation lets you confidently zoom in on faraway subjects, snap detailed close-ups and capture night scenes with minimal camera shake blur, richer colour gradations and realistically reproduced details.
You will never again fail to capture the exact right moment. The newly enhanced Fast Hybrid AF system delivers extremely high-speed response, highly accurate prediction, and wide area coverage for autofocusing and tracking you can always depend on. It’s remarkably fast for a full-frame camera AF system (30% faster than the a7) and accurately predicts subject movement so you can steadfastly track your subject. Utilising 117 phase-detection and 25 contrast-detection autofocus points with a wide area of coverage, the a7 II can smoothly and quickly track fast-moving subjects throughout the frame.
The high-resolution XGA OLED Tru-Finder™ offers impressive visibility contributing to intuitive operation. High-end features like the 100% frame coverage and a wide viewing angle features enable comfortable and stable eye-level composition. You can accurately monitor what will appear in your final images because it faithfully displays the effects of your various camera settings. The refined shape and height of the grip gives you a more secure grasp of the camera, making the operation more comfortable and confident. The high-resolution 3.0“ tilting LCD monitor provides an excellent screen for composing images and adjusting settings. It tilts both upward and downward for working with multiple shooting angles. Use in sunlight is improved with the implementation of WhiteMagic technology which doubles the brightness of the display. It also makes it easy to utilise the built-in Wi-Fi connectivity with support for NFC, for instant image sharing straight from the camera.
Button customization empowers you to shoot just the way you like, with frequently used functions assigned to the customizable buttons of your choice. Easily assign any of 56 functions to the 10 buttons to enjoy speedier, and convenient operation. Use front and rear control dial to quickly adjust the exposure. The ?7 II can capture images at a rate of 5 fps while using continuous autofocus and automatic exposure. When your subject is moving fast, you can beautifully capture the decisive moment with sharp, well-exposed results thanks to 5 fps continuous AF/AE shooting. A dramatically improved algorithm accurately predicts subject movement so you can steadfastly track subjects even when shooting continuously.
It’s easy to keep moving subjects in focus with enhanced Lock-on AF. For extremely high image quality and minimal noise, shoot full HD 1920 x 1080 video with the high-bit-rate 50Mbps XAVC S format, resulting in excellent image quality with minimal artifacts without requiring a large amount of disk space.
This wide-to-portrait zoom incorporates three aspherical elements and one extra-low dispersion element into its design to minimize chromatic aberrations and enhance overall image clarity. An optical SteadyShot image stabilization system has also been added to minimize the appearance of camera shake to suit working in dim lighting and with low shutter speeds. This stabilization will work with the in-body stabilization found in the camera.
A large-aperture 50 mm prime lens is a must-have for serious full-frame camera users, and this is an excellent, affordable choice. The optical design is state-of-the-art for high image quality, and the large F1.8 maximum aperture can produce gorgeous background bokeh. Capture the playfulness of the shadows, atmosphere interiors and in doing so create stunning images. Fast aperture benefits working in difficult lighting conditions and also avails greater control over focus placement for working with shallow depth of field techniques.
