Nikon Prostaff 5 Fieldscope 82

The Prostaff 5 Fieldscope 82 is the successor to the highly popular RA III series. This is the basic model of a series of monocular telescopes from world-renowned Nikon, which can also be used as lenses for Coolpix digital cameras. Besides the perfect design, they have great optics and are very lightweight.

Key features

  • Minimize colour defects at the edge of the field of view
  • Lenses with multiple anti-reflective layers
  • Waterproof (to a depth of 1m for 10 minutes)
  • Nitrogen filling to prevent fogging
  • Built-in sliding sun visor
  • Organic glass free of lead and arsenic
  • A cover case is part of the device

Great optics

In this monoscope there is a new zoom lens eyepiece that minimizes colour defects at the edge of the field of view and offers a large pop-out pupil for comfortable viewing. A very wide lens allows for greater brightness to pass into the field of view. It is also equipped with excellent optics with multiple anti-reflective layers. In addition, the use of ecological glass means that all lenses and prisms are 100% free of lead and arsenic. The optics are perfectly protected from water thanks to waterproofing and, of course, also resistant to fogging.

Great compatibility

You can also mount the Digiscoping system. This enables the monocle to connect to various models of COOLPIX series compact digital cameras using the FSB series digital camera holder. There are two screw holes for a stable tripod connection.

Nikon’s beginnings date back to 1917 in Japan. At first, the company mainly produced lenses - telescopes, binoculars, microscopes and other small, optical equipment. Soon the company expanded its portfolio, producing photographic lenses under the Nikkor brand.

In the field of cameras, particularly among professionals, Nikon quickly gained a reputation as a top manufacturer, which continues today. Its cameras were even included in the equipment of American spacecraft. Nikon designed and produced the legendary Nikon SP 1957, regarded by many as the best camera of all time.
