This set contains a powerful, silent Nikon D610 SLR camera with advanced features and a Tamron 24-70 mm lens.
The Nikon D610 features an FX image sensor, which brings brand new possibilities for this class of devices. The FX-format CMOS sensor is capable of capturing outstanding level of detail in poor lighting conditions while maintaining high dynamic range and low noise levels.
The high-performance EXPEED 3 image processor can handle large volumes of data, including Full HD video recordings. Benefitting the exceptional image quality is the Nikon Multi-CAM4800 AF system that employs 39 distinct AF points to quickly acquire focus in a range of lighting conditions. Built-in HDR creates shots with greater highlight and shadow detail and an extended range of mid-tones. A completely new feature is an extra quiet, hi-speed continuous shooting mode with a shooting rate of 6 fps.
The Nikon SLR comes with a great LCD display with excellent readability and wide viewing angles, combined with an optical viewfinder with 100% frame coverage. Control elements can make or break a device, but thanks to Nikon's years of experience they are absolutely flawless. The camera includes a fast startup function and immediate response to each button press. The D610 device is also sealed to maintain dust-prevention and water-resistance.
The Tamron lens is designed for digital SLR cameras and provides image stabilisation using built-in vibration compensation. The f/2.8 aperture creates a balanced result of brilliant resolution and a fine bokeh effect, thanks to the rounded 9-blade diaphragm. Just like the camera, the lens is also highly moisture-resistant.
Tamron's VC (Vibration Compensation) is a three-coil system, where three driving coils activate the shake-compensating VC lens group electromagnetically via three steel balls. The lens also has a compact SWM for quiet autofocus.
Nikon’s beginnings date back to 1917 in Japan. At first, the company mainly produced lenses - telescopes, binoculars, microscopes and other small, optical equipment. Soon the company expanded its portfolio, producing photographic lenses under the Nikkor brand.
In the field of cameras, particularly among professionals, Nikon quickly gained a reputation as a top manufacturer, which continues today. Its cameras were even included in the equipment of American spacecraft. Nikon designed and produced the legendary Nikon SP 1957, regarded by many as the best camera of all time.
