The dual processor ThinkServer RD650 rack server provides superior performance and excellent hardware equipment. Its energy-efficient platform supports more cores, more memory, and bigger data capacity in a 2U rack and excels in flexibility and scalability. Compared to the previous generation it comes with more computing power per watt, thanks to the latest Intel Xeon processor with Haswell architecture. This helps to reduce costs while maintaining speed and availability. The server is designed for developed companies that require high performance.
The server has a powerful hexa-core Intel Xeon E5-2630 v3 Haswell processor. Its advanced architecture means higher performance at the same clock speed and optimised power consumption. The server is equipped with advanced 16 GB DDR4 RAM, further expandable with optional LR-DIMM memory modules via 24 slots, reaching the maximum memory capacity of 768 GB! A Gigabit network card with two connectors handles the network connectivity, and the server also comes with the advanced ThinkServer System Manager.
The server is equipped with a hot-swap feature, which allows you to swap disks without having to power down the system. Hard disk capacity can be expanded to up to 8 SAS/SATA 2.5" hot-swap drives. The drives can be configured into secure 0/1/5/6/10/50/60 RAID arrays. The server is powered by a highly efficient hot-swap power supply with a 750 W output.
