An IBM x3550 M4 server specifically designed for the corporate sector provides massive power for your key business applications. Its energy-efficient platform supports multiple cores, DDR3 RAM modules and large data capacity, all easy to use and completely manageable. Compared to the previous generation it offers a better performance-per-watt ratio, mainly thanks to its support of reliable Intel Xeon processors. This can reduce costs while maintaining speed and accessibility. The server is aimed at developed businesses, where it can meet all the requirements of their demanding applications.
The server is equipped with a top-notch hexa-core Intel Xeon E5-2620 v3 Ivy Bridge processor. Its advanced architecture means more power at the same clock speed or optimised power draw. Intel Turbo Boost 2 can cope even with extreme load, thanks to automatic temporary overclocking. The server's 8 GB DDR3 RAM with ECC can be expanded with optional LRDIMM memory modules to up to 768 GB.
The server is equipped with hot-swap functionality, which allows you to swap drives while the system is running, without having to reboot. Drives can be grouped into secure RAID 0/1/5 arrays with a storage controller and storage capability can be expanded to up to 8 SAS/SATA/SSD 2.5" hard drives (7.2 TB). There are also PCI Express 3.0 expansion slots and a Gigabit network card with four ports. The components are powered by an efficient hot-swap 550 W power supply.
Lenovo is the world's largest computer maker, founded in 1984. Its original name was Legend. Later it was renamed to Legend Novo ("New Legend"), abbreviated Lenovo. In 2005 it took over IBM's computer division, which was among the largest computer makers in the world. It is similarly ambitious in the field of mobile phones, where it would like to surpass Apple and Samsung. As far as this goal goes, they acquired Motorola’s mobile division in January 2014 and have been ramping up production since.
The company also produces tablets, monitors, televisions, and storage solutions. Overall, they are known for delivering quality products at reasonable prices.
