The Spectre Pro X360 is a corporate convertible belonging to the Hewlett Packard G2 touchscreen ultrabook series. Thanks to its flexible 360° hinge it can operate in four modes designed for work and leisure. Its precisely cut aluminium case hides the latest hardware components, including a Core i5 Skylake processor and fast SSD. Despite its power, the notebook is only 15.4 mm thick and weighs mere 1.5 kg.
The notebook’s most notable feature is its 13.3" Full HD display with high resolution and 360° movement. The notebook is highly adaptable, allowing you to easily switch between four modes — Laptop, Stand, Tent, and Tablet. Choose the one you need at the particular moment and with a simple flip you can work, watch a movie, or chat via its in-built 1080p webcam. Its tough aluminium unibody is MIL-STD 810G certified, so you can concentrate on your activities without worrying about accidental impacts and spills.
The perfectly tuned performance is designed for work with demanding applications and programs. The notebook is powered by a dual-core Intel Core i5 Skylake processor, offering high-performance, maximum clock speed of 2.8 Ghz, virtualisation technology, Hyper-Threading, and reasonable power consumption. It is backed by DDR3L RAM and a fast SSD connected via M.2 interface, capable of running multiple demanding programs at the same time without a hitch.
The Spectre Pro X360 G2 is well-suited for travel, yet offers a keyboard that should satisfy even the most demanding users. HP provides its notebooks with extremely wide touchpads and this model is no exception. Do you type long texts late into the night? If so, then you will appreciate adjustable keystroke hardness with low lift and practical white backlight. The keys are perfectly sized to reduce incidence of typos even during fast typing.
High performance and quality construction are not the only things this notebook has going for it. Its hardware equipment includes a wide range of modern interfaces, including HDMI, three USB 3.0 ports, mini DisplayPort, memory card reader, and of course Bluetooth and WiFi as well. It also incorporates the latest data protection technology, including TPM (Trusted Platform Module), which encrypts sensitive data and information such as passwords, electronic transactions, and online communication.
Hewlett-Packard was founded in the difficult times of the Great Depression. The founders were a pair of friends whose name the company still proudly bears. They started their business in an unobtrusive garage near the city of Palo Alto. It is now a national monument. HP’s success lay not in copying existing products, but in the ability and courage to come up with something new.
The first commercial triumph was an oscillator that surpassed all competition in quality, yet sold at a quarter of the price. In 1968, HP released their first desktop computer - a desktop calculator. The company currently manufactures products primarily related to computer technology - computers and laptops, printers, scanners, digital cameras, servers, and last but not least, calculators.
