Made of the highest quality materials, reducing issues that affect signal integrity, the Server SmartMemory HP 8GB DDR3 1333 MHz significantly increases system reliability. Memory operates at a frequency up to 1333MHz and features CL 9. Registered DIMMs (RDIMMs) improve signal integrity by having a register on the DIMM to buffer the address and command signals between the DRAMs and the memory controller. This allows each memory channel to support up to three dual-rank DIMMs, increasing the amount of memory that a server can support. Error Detection technology introduces refinements to error detection technology. Instead of simply counting each correctable memory error, this new technology analyses all correctable errors to determine which ones have a higher probability of leading to uncorrectable errors in the future. Some memory controllers can in cooperation with ECC memory repair the errors of greater magnitude. Support for ECC is required by most server boards.

Hewlett-Packard was founded in the difficult times of the Great Depression. The founders were a pair of friends whose name the company still proudly bears. They started their business in an unobtrusive garage near the city of Palo Alto. It is now a national monument. HP’s success lay not in copying existing products, but in the ability and courage to come up with something new.
The first commercial triumph was an oscillator that surpassed all competition in quality, yet sold at a quarter of the price. In 1968, HP released their first desktop computer - a desktop calculator. The company currently manufactures products primarily related to computer technology - computers and laptops, printers, scanners, digital cameras, servers, and last but not least, calculators.
