Work Gloves

Protective work gloves can be coated, combination, or disposable. They are suitable for everything from household work to professional welding or electrical wiring. See below for some tips how to choose the right gloves.

What to focus on when buying

First, consider what work you are planning to do. Gloves designed for work with dangerous chemicals are obviously very different from gloves for operating heavy machinery. Another important parameter is the glove material.

Work gloves can be divided into:

combined Combination

coated Coated

disposable Disposable

Winter Winter

Combination gloves - the universal first choice when you need work gloves. They are suitable for both professional work and household chores, including demanding garden work. Commonly used by construction workers, lumberjacks, and DIY enthusiasts. This type is generally made of two tough and durable materials.

Coated gloves - very popular. Their external coating makes them resistant against moisture, which definitely helps in humid environments. They do not block all the tactile sensitivity and are sufficiently durable. Commonly used at home or on construction sites and other professional environments. Perfect for garden work.

Disposable gloves - are designed to be discarded after one use. Ideal for hospitals and other medical facilities, but also for some types of house work. They provide perfect pollutant protection, are water- and grease-proof, and do not take much space.

Winter gloves - ideal for work in cold winter months. They are durable and have extra insulation to protect your hands against the cold. Some winter gloves have a wrist strap for better insulation.

There are also special gloves, which include:

  • Leather gloves - very durable, made from cowhide or pigskin, suitable for physically demanding work.
  • Welding gloves - special gloves for work with welding equipment and iron.
  • Dielectric gloves - made of thick latex, they provide protection for work with high voltage electrical hazards; generally cover your wrists and half of the forearm.
  • Anti-vibration gloves - ideal for handling pneumatic tools (jackhammers, drills, saws, and sanders).
  • Chemical-resistant gloves and cold-resistant gloves - made of highly durable materials, they protect your hands from mechanical trauma, burns, or chemical burns.
  • Cut-resistant gloves - designed to protect your hands from cuts while working with sharp tools. Suitable for frequent work with saws.
  • Heat-resistant gloves - highly heat-resistant. Suitable for heating engineers and glassblowers. Can withstand temperatures up to 600 degree Celsius.
