Gitzo Mountaineer GT1532

The Gitzo company has been on the market for almost 100 years and has more than 60 years' worth of experience in manufacturing tripods, tripod heads and support systems. Now Gitzo is a global leader in its field and produces high-quality and elaborate tripods. One of them is Gitzo GT1532 from the Mountaineer series. As the name suggests, this tripod is designed especially for photographers who don't let any terrain stop them. The Mountaineer series is defined by its minimal weight, exceptional compactness and excellent production. The tripod is suitable for lenses with a focal length of 135mm to 200mm. It comes without a tripod head.

Key features

  • A professional tripod from the market leader
  • Suitable for demanding terrain
  • Solid carbon structure
  • Adjustable legs in three angles
  • Adapted for shooting low to the ground
  • Low weight

Unique carbon structure

Carbon fibre tubes produced with eXact Carbon technology are the most advanced on the market. This technology provides great structural strength, resistance to bending and an excellent ability to absorb vibrations. One pipe with the diameter of 28mm is made of up to 1,500,000 carbon fibres the size of 7µm each.

Shoot close to the ground

The Ground Level Set system with a control ring for work without the centre column helps you capture the perfect photograph close to the ground. The legs are adjustable in three angles and fitted with locks, their tips are replaceable.

G-Lock Ultra locks

The tripod has unique G-Lock Ultra locks. This mechanism has been completely redesigned and is now 20% harder and makes operation faster. It is designed to minimize the permeation of dust and gravel to the locks. The Gravity Lock works with weight that pulls on the tripod legs vertically. The greater the load, the stronger the lock.
