Very powerful and compact Canon lens with low weight and aperture F4.0. This model is equipped with 16 lenses in thirteen groups. The lens can focus at a distance of 1.2 m advantage is the possibility of mounting a rotating polarized filter, because the frontal member does not rotate during focusing. Focusing the lens is due USM drive fast and quiet. This actuator uses a piezoelectric principle and consists of two at each exerted rings, one of which acts as a stator and the other (driving the focussing mechanism) as the rotor.
