It is perfect when diagnosing or rescuing HDD data or as an emergency solution for example, or if you need to connect an internal hard drive via USB to your notebook. Backward compatibility with USB 2.0 is also assured. There is no need to change any specific settings or follow any steps to set up this adapter.
